Beetroot Parantha

Ingredients

For the stuffing:

  1. 2 Beetroot grated
  2. ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
  3. 2 vertically slit green chillies
  4. Salt- to taste
  5. ½ teaspoon black pepper corn powder

For parantha dough:

  1. 5 cups wheat floor
  2. Salt-to taste
  3. A pinch of carom seeds/ ajwain optional
  4. Water to kneed the dough

Other ingredients:

  • Oil/ butter/ ghee to apply all over the parantha

Instructions:

  1. In a fry pan, add oil and heat it
  2. Add cumin seeds and allow it to splutter.
  3. Add green chillies and sauté it for few minutes.
  4. Add greated beetroot, sauté for few seconds.
  5. Cook for 2-3 min on low flame.
  6. Add salt and black pepper powder.
  7. Mix and cook for another 4-5 minutes on low flame.
  8. Stuffing is ready.
  9. For a dough, in a mixing bowl add wheat floor.
  10. Add salt and mix.
