Vegetable Upma

Ingredients:

  • Oats: 2 spoons (10gms)
  • Suji: 2 spoons (10 grams)
  • Peas: a handful
  • Mushrooms: 2-3 (optional)
  • Beans: 3-4
  • Onion: 1 small
  • Capsicum: ½- 1 small
  • Carrots: 1 small
  •  Mustard seeds: ½ teaspoon
  •  Curry patta: 4-5
  •  Green chilli: 1
  •  Oil: ½ spoon

Preparation

  1. Put half spoon oil in the pan, add mustard seeds, curry patta, chopped onion, chopped green chilli and cook for some time.
  2. Add all the vegetables and keep for some time on slow flame.
  3. Add oats, suji, and aprox 1 glass of water.
  4. Continuously stir the mixture and add salt and garam masala.
  5. Add lemon juice, and keep for 6-10 minutes on slow flame.
  6. Serve hot.
