Amaranth And Vegetable Tikki

Ingredients:

  1. Amaranth: 1/4th cup
  2. Boiled potato: ½ small
  3. Onion: ½ small
  4. Bell pepper: 1 small
  5. Salt
  6. Red chilli
  7. Garam masala
  8. Coriander leaves
  9. Green chilli
  10. Turmeric

Preparation:

  1. Bring the amaranth and water to a boil in a sauce pan. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover and simmer until amaranth is tender and water has been absorbed, about 10 to 15 minutes.
  2. Mix the amaranth, mashed potato, chopped bell pepper, onion, salt and other spices.
  3. Form the mixture make into 2-3 small tikki
  4. Heat the olive oil (1/2 spoon) in a non-stick pan
  5. Cook the tikki in the hot until heated through, 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Ready to serve with chutney.
