Masala Corn

Ingredients:

  1. 1 Sweet corn
  2. 1 tablespoon Ghee
  3. Salt to taste
  4. ¼ teaspoon red chilli powder
  5. A pinch of kala namak/ black salt
  6. ¼ teaspoon black pepper powder
  7. ¼ chaat masala powder
  8. Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing

Instructions:

If using pressure cooker

  1. Take a pressure cooker, add some water, add the sweet corn, cover the lid and pressure cook for 1 whistle.
  2. Reduce the steam, take the corn out and remove the sweet corn kernel from corn.

If boiling the corn:

  1. Take a vessel, add water, add sweet corn and boil the corn for about 15 minutes to 20 minutes.
  2. Take it out carefully, remove the sweet corn and cool it down.
  3. Remove the corn kernels and they are ready to use.

Making the masala of the corn:

  1. Take a pan, heat it
  2. Add butter and melt it on low flame.
  3. Add the corn kernels into it and mix thoroughly for few seconds.
  4. Switch off the flame.
  5. Add the spices such as salt, black pepper powder, chaat masala powder, red chilli powder, mix well.
  6. Mix thoroughly all the spices with the corn kernels.
  7. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  8. Serve hot.
