Vegetable Millet Daliya
Ingredients:
- Millet daliya: 3 spoons (15gms) – you can grind it in a mixer if it’s a whole grain
- Peas: a handful
- Mushrooms: 2-3 (optional)
- Beans: 3-4
- Onion: 1 small
- Capsicum: ½- 1 small
- Carrots: 1 small
- Mustard seeds: ½ teaspoon
- Curry patta: 4-5
- Green chilli: 1
- Mustard oil: ½ spoon
Preparation:
- Water thoroughly and soak the millet daliya for 4-5 hours before cooking.
- Cook daliya separate in the cooker with double the water (after one whistle, keep on slow flame for 8-10 mins.
- On a separate flame, take half spoon oil in the pan, add mustard seeds, curry patta, chopped onion, chopped green chilli and cook for some time.
- Add all the vegetables and keep for some time on slow flame.
- Add cooked daliya.
- Continuously stir the mixture and add salt and garam masala and other spices.
