Vegetable Millet Daliya

Ingredients:

  1. Millet daliya: 3 spoons (15gms) – you can grind it in a mixer if it’s a whole grain
  2. Peas: a handful
  3. Mushrooms: 2-3 (optional)
  4. Beans: 3-4
  5. Onion: 1 small
  6. Capsicum: ½- 1 small
  7. Carrots: 1 small
  8. Mustard seeds: ½ teaspoon
  9. Curry patta: 4-5
  10. Green chilli: 1
  11. Mustard oil: ½ spoon

Preparation:

  1. Water thoroughly and soak the millet daliya for 4-5 hours before cooking.
  2. Cook daliya separate in the cooker with double the water (after one whistle, keep on slow flame for 8-10 mins.
  3. On a separate flame, take half spoon oil in the pan, add mustard seeds, curry patta, chopped onion, chopped green chilli and cook for some time.
  4. Add all the vegetables and keep for some time on slow flame.
  5. Add cooked daliya.
  6. Continuously stir the mixture and add salt and garam masala and other spices.
