Peas And Potato Sandwich
Ingredients
- 2 large potatoes, boiled & peeled
- ½ cup boiled green peas
- 8 multigrain bread slices
- 1 medium onion
- 1 medium tomato
- 11/2 teaspoon ghee
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- ¼ tsp asafoetida (hing)
- ½ tsp red chilli powder
- ¼ turmeric powder
- ½ tsp garam masala powder
- Salt to taste
- Butter for applying
- Green chutney for applying and to serve
- s/w masala for sprinkle
- tomato ketchup to serve
Method:
- Thinly slice onion and tomato
- Heat ghee in a non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds anf asafoetida and sauté for few seconds. Add green chillies and ginger and sauté for a min.
- Add golden peas, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and salt and sauté for a min.
- Grate the potatoes directly into a pan anf mix till well combined.
- Apply butter on one side of 4 slice bread. Apply some chutney over them and place a portion of potato mixture over each slice of a bread and spread it evenly. Place a few tomato slice and sprinkle some masala sandwich over it. Place a few onion rings over them to make s/w, apply some butter on a top.
- Place the remaining slices of bread over them to make sandwiches, apply some butter on the top.
- Heat an electric griller. Place the sandwich on it and grill for 2-3 min till golden brown.
- Serve the sandwich with tomato ketchup and green chuteney.
